Mohammed bin Rashid orders commencement of second phase of JW Marriott Marquis Hotel in Dubai

WAM Dubai, Nov 25th, 2012 (WAM)--The Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has ordered the start of the second phase of AED2.5 billion JW Marriott Marquis Dubai hotel project.


The instruction was made during an inspection visit paid by Sheikh Mohammed to the project, which is situated on Sheikh Zayed Road.

Accompanied by the Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chief Executive of Emirates Group, H. H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Sheikh Mohammed toured the project, slated to be the world's tallest hotel when it is completed. It will have 1,600 rooms.

Sheikh Mohammed toured the hotel and inspected its facilities. It has the largest function room in the Middle East, world class services for business, 19 restaurants and many other luxury facilities.

Concluding his visit, Sheikh Mohammed expressed his satisfaction with the successful completion of the first phase of the iconic project and described it as a boost to the tourism sector in the emirate of Dubai that has become synonymous with unparalleled business and tourism ventures.
